About 20 years after the rest of the world got all caught up in Single Ladies mania, folksy singer Sara Barellies has decided to cover the track. Her version has an easygoing folk/jazz vibe to it, which is obviously very different indeed to the original version. It just goes to show that Single Ladies really is an amazing song, because it still sounds great even when it’s been completely turned upside down re-worked. It’s just a shame Sara made no effort to copy the famous dance routine. Then again there’s no way she’d ever top the utter amazingness of either the Glee or Joe Jonas versions.
