We’re not ones for idle tittle-tattle (ok, that might be a little bit of a fib), but we can’t help but wonder what’s going on with Beyonce Knowles and her dad Mathew. The Crazy In Love singer has dispensed with her dad’s services as a manager, but without really giving any reason for the decision.
Beyonce has been managed by her pops ever since the Destiny Child days, and Mathew even helped to launch the solo careers of Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, but now father and daughter have gone their separate ways “on a business level.” In an official statement Beyonce has said, “I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage and own their own businesses. They were hardworking entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps.”
