It’s been a sad day for rap, as a late night announcement from the US revealed that legendary rapper Nate Dogg has passed away at the tender age of 41.
The rapper, most famous for his 90s track Regulate (performed with Warren G) ,was known to be suffering from health problems and he'd actually had two strokes in 2007 and 2008. His family confirmed his death late last night but haven’t given any further details.
Known for leading the way in rap and hip-hop, Nate was close pals with all the big names in the rap world, including Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and others. Even an emotional Pete Wentz and Calvin Harris took to Twitter to pay their respects.
Snoop tweeted, “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met. I love u buddy”.
While Pete Wentz added, “RIP Nate Dogg. so sad. your family is in my prayers.”
