So, there we were this morning, innocently hanging around the Daybreak studios, when who should rock up looking all dapper and stuff? Blue, that’s who.
Duncan, Antony, Simon and Lee very kindly invited us to their dressing room after they sang new single, I Can, on the show – and offered to have a little chat with us – because, well, they are very obliging, you know. Luckily, we came armed with (stupid) questions, and being the creative types we are too, we decided to play a little game - just to make the old Q&A method a bit more fun.
The boys agreed to arm wrestle with each other and we all agreed that whoever lost each round, would have to answer a silly question. Sounds straight-forward doesn’t it? And as always, our lovely Blue boys were completely up for it. They wrestled away, some took it more seriously than others (ahem, Lee) and some were just not having a ‘strong arm’ day (Simon). In fact, we should say Lee took it a lot more seriously than anticipated, in fact, at one point he had to swap arms – just to so he could win against Ant. Of course we just watched, with a camera in hand. It’s a tough job, but hey, someone has to do it.
They told us what crazy thing Ant will do if the band win Eurovision, what Simon would do if he was a girl for the day, what cheeky presents Duncan has received lately, and what Lee would do if he was Megan Fox for the day (naughty)…
All in all though, we had a giggle, took lots of footage so you can witness the fun - and then left, a bit sad that the fun was over and even more sad that we didn’t touch up Simon’s muscles nearly as much as we wanted to. Next time… next time.
Blue’s Eurovision single, I Can, is out now and you can download it right here. Then make sure you tune in to the Eurovision Song Contest Final on BBC1, Saturday 14 May.
