Cher Lloyd was very upset last week when her debut single Swagger Jagger got leaked on the internet. However she seemed much happier today.
The singer told fans: “Being in the studio writing and recording with The Runners and Autumn Rowe has been an amazing experience.
“Swagger Jagger was one of the first tracks we recorded and I loved it straight away and knew it had to be my first single! I hope you all like it. I cannot wait to get out there and perform to you all.”
A very nervous Cher joined Scott Mills and his team at Radio One this afternoon for the first exclusive play of Swagger Jagger.
She was surprised at the amount of fans that were there to greet her, saying, “I get a bit scared that no one is going to turn up.” She has made a promise to fans that she will always stop and greet them. She said, “There’s 24 hours in the day, why not stop and talk to everybody?”
At one point Scott spoke of the negative attitude fired towards her and asked why she thought she attracted it. She said, “I haven’t grown up yet and I probably never will. I’m not evil. I can see why some people don‘t like me as much as ohers. I’m not going to say I’m like marmite – lets say I’m like mayo. ”
Cher also spoke out about why she was so upset when the single got leaked, “I just feel that I’d worked really hard on it. I wasn’t that emotional that it got leaked – it was that people were judging it when it’s wasn‘t the real version. I don’t like anything out of my control. When I‘m having a down day and a see a bad comment on twitter it will bring me down for the rest of the day. ”
When asked about mentor Cheryl Cole, who supported her through her experience on The X Factor, she simply said, “I’ve not seen her since the show.”
Oooooh…
