Tomorrow and Thursday night thousands of people will be gathered in Hype Park to watch Kings Of Leon perform… lucky buggers.
To wind ourselves up (because we haven’t managed to bag ourselves tickets) we decided to spend a few hours on Youtube watching past performances of the band. We idled away the hours belting out Sex On Fire and Use Somebody to the joy of those quietly working around us (They love us really).
When we came across one called “Kings Of Leon – Shreds – Their Worst Performance Ever,” with the description “Kings of Leon have a disaster of a gig at Reading Festival 2009.” We were confused…we were there, balancing on people’s shoulders, beer in hand, as we swayed with the crowd. Had we missed something? Had the best night of our lives been a mere fantasy? Our imagination playing a mean trick on us?
Pressing play led us to 4 minutes and 20 seconds of pure hysterical laughter!
We appreciate that it’s old, and that you may have already seen it – but we don’t think this clip will ever get boring!
