It’s not exactly surprising, but the latest midweek album chart update shows Take That are very much ruling the roost with their new EP, Progressed, which has already sold loads. And the boys are celebrating by releasing extra tickets for their Wembley gigs next month. Good news for all those who didn’t get some the first time round, eh?
Tickets will go on sale tomorrow at 9am and will cost £29.50 and £39.50 depending on which seats you go for. Apparently the band will be filming their DVD at their first three Wembley dates – so if you want to be seen screaming like a mad fan (or boozing like this lot), then make sure you’re by a computer nice and early to get your hands on some tickets.
The Take That Wembley dates are as follows:
30 June
1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 July
Meanwhile, in the single charts, Example and his track Changed The Way You Kiss Me has dropped to number three after topping the charts for two weeks running. Instead, Calvin Harris has taken over the top spot with his song Bounce, featuring Kelis.
Then there’s the fabulously talented Ed Sheeran (we're big fans - this fella's going to be huge), who has pipped Example to number two with The A Team – but poor Dappy (of N-Dubz) and Tinchy Stryder aren't doing as well their joint offering, Spaceship, which is sitting much further down the countdown as we speak. Oh dear! Discussing his disappointment at this initial chart news, the Dapster tweeted, "The spaceship has landed...seems to be a problem with fuel." Aww!
