Take That put on show while their fans get hammered

We've all been there - dancing along to Pray at a Take That gig, with a pint of cider in our hand. But it sounds like Take That fans in Manchester have been giving stewards at Manchester City Stadium a real run for their money with their drunken antics. So much so that they’ve made the national news!

According to The Sun more than 100 fans were admitted to hospital after brawls, passing out, theft and such like following too much booze. And most of them were in their 30s and 40s. In fact, when we were up in Manchester a couple of weeks ago to see the boys’ amazing show, we did spot a few ladies, beer in hand, being stretchered out of the venue. And there was a girl behind us who couldn’t help but scream at the top of her lungs every few seconds – she later apologised and told us she’d been gearing up the drinks for four hours beforehand – which, frankly, explained it.

A steward at the venue told The Sun, "I've worked at lots of concerts and some of the drunkenness here was unbelievable. Some women were slumped in their seats barely able to walk. It was way worse than a football game."

Thankfully, the Take That boys didn't see any of the naughtiness going on in the crowds and continued to entertain the not-so-drunk masses as usual, as well as some very special guests like the X Factor judges and crew on Sunday night. Phew! We think we’d be mortified if Take That saw us even a little bit tipsy, let alone as hammered as this lot. Actually, now we come to think of it, we’re pretty sure Howard Donald made a comment about our wine consumption once… whoops!

Miss_Take-That I think they should have a quiz before you can enter the stadium. You have to answer 20 questions correctly about TT in order to enter the stadium. they should also Breathalyze everyone. Ban all alcohol! and not let anyone bring alcohol in xx

I really don't like this title. It directed at all Take That Fans and first of all, Why would we get hammered to see Take That? Surely the fans who are getting drunk are the 'Glory Supporters' Only going because it's what everyone else is doing. I bet they don't even know the first ever album! It's not good at all and this really upsets me that a few indiviuals can ruin it for everyone. I do think you should change the title though because it does make us look like losers.

I was there on Friday, and I must say it was a very small number of drunken women that I saw. Why pay all that money for a ticket, then the booze! it would have cost a small fortune.

Laurie, we kind of expect drunk teenagers but what shocked me was old the older folk, lying on the grass outside the stadium, or falling about inside the stadium, all totally smashed and causing trouble. It was quite shocking.

I was at the TT Manchester gig last Saturday and the amount of 40 year old that were totally wasted by the time they came on was embarrasing. I had beer thrown down the back of me and one woman behind me making the wierdest screetching noices and wacking me round the head everytime she waved her arms in the air - nearly ruined the whole experience. Deffo get a seat if I can next time!!

Lusty I might have been one of they drunken people at that gig. But to be fair I was in my last teenage year at the time, not much of an excuse I know but still... Anyway yous are sooo right, i was that drunk the whole day is very blurry and I totally regret that now because I had wanted to see Oasis for sooo long I sort of ruined it for myself and now I won't get the chance to see them again.

The last time take that were at Hampden there was a group of 8 women waiting in front of us for the gates to open with litre bottle's of spirits, like u say - why goto a gig like that then get pissed, to either be ill or not remember
