Fans of Tom Felton (aka Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter) will already know that the actor likes to strum at his guitar on the odd occasion (you dirty lot, that’s not an euphemism). But now that Tom’s work is complete in the Harry Potter series and The Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is in cinemas (the hard-working fella also stars in this), Tom’s decided to take his passion for music public – by recording a track called Hawaii with Six String Productions.
Back in May, Tom asked his Twitter followers to help him with the video. He said, “I would like to invite you to film yourself miming along and the best videos will be edited together to make something really special and you’ll all get credited. Please be as creative, funny, interesting or just plain daft as you like.”
And just like that a video was created to go with the track – and it sees a whole load of Felton fanatics miming along to the song in different locations. The song itself is very Jack Johnson – the kind of thing you can imagine playing in a beach bar somewhere hot while you’re topping up your tan – and it very much sums up Tom’s chilled out persona (and lifestyle, he’s been sunning it up in LA these last few weeks, the lucky boy). But will it be a chart hit? Well, who knows. But we have no doubt Tom’s loyal Twitter following of 838K followers will love it.
