It’s the rivalry that we don’t think will ever end. The band that saw us through the 90’s (please don’t tell Blur) have released some tunes that feature heavily on our iPod, but despite making big hits, Oasis brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher just won’t ever seem to see eye to eye.
However, the rift might be helped by the fact that Noel has just revealed he won’t be singing Liam’s songs on tour. Noel told the press that he won’t be singing any of the songs that his brother is famous for in any of his sets, which might disappoint Oasis fans bagging tickets.
Noel’s solo tour will see the singer performing his own material, he performed his first gig in Ireland last Sunday. Noel says,
“I won’t be singing anything that Liam’s famous for singing…I’m not a natural showman, but I promise to turn up.” Ouch.
We would take sides, if we weren’t slightly more scared of rowdy brother Liam. Liam filed a lawsuit against Noel this year saying that his brother lied about why he didn’t perform with the band at V Festival in 2009. The suit led Noel to apologise and state that Liam pulled out of the gig due to laryngitis.
Oh come on guys, kiss and make up already!
