N-Dubz’ Fazer aims high with his solo career by working on his own version of a Sting hit.
The rapper/producer approached the Police frontman for permission to cover the 1988 track Englishman In New York and has been granted it!
A source told The Sun, "Fazer loves Sting and that track in particular. He’s been working on it in the studio and has given it a brilliant overhaul"
The 24-year-old band member, who has recently been revealed to be dating X Factor Judge and fellow bandmate Tulisa Contostavlos after more than a year of dating, has also said he wishes to work with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger.
Fazer is set for a massive solo career and is in talks with SyCo to produce music for this years’ X Factor winner. He plans to give an urban spin on their music. He also produced girlfriend Tulisa’s first solo single and has been speaking to Katy Perry.
Meanwhile, Dappy, who’s already had a No1 solo single with No Regrets, is doing little to deny the N-Dubz split rumours by previously saying the band will release a greatest hits album when they are set to ‘finish’ – N-Dubz greatest hits comes out next week! He’s also said he has big plans to work with Rihanna and The Wanted.
As much as it saddens us to say the end of N-Dubz is likely to be on the horizon, it looks like each member of the trio has tricks up their sleeves and won’t be going anywhere just yet!
