We bet Matt Cardle isn’t too happy with the news that Rebecca Ferguson’s album has sold almost three times more than his debut, Letters, if pre-order sales are anything to go by.
The lovely Rebecca's impressive pre-order album sales led to her position of “most successful 2010 contestant”, according to Amazon.
Pre-order sales of Heaven have soared above all of those by fellow 2010 X Factor semi-finalists - Cher Lloyd by 571%, Matt Cardle by 181% and One Direction by 11%. Go, Rebecca!
It's not all about winning in the X Factor
Head of music buying at Amazon, Paul Firth, said: “Rebecca’s strong pre-order performance is a good indicator that she is set to follow in the footsteps of the very successful X Factor runners-up in previous years by achieving stronger sales than the ultimate winner.
“Over the past three years, we’ve seen Rebecca ahead of Matt Cardle, Olly Murs ahead of Joe McElderry and JLS ahead of Alexandra Burke in the charts."
That's not all Rebecca's got going for her...
Rebecca is due to tour the UK and Ireland next year – extra dates have been added due to demand. We bet she is thrilled, this is one X Factor runner-up who has a lot going for her. Long may it continue!
The singer came as runner-up to Matt Cardle in the seventh series of The X Factor. It just goes to show that it’s not always the winning that counts!
