We can’t get enough of will.i.am’s single T.H.E (The Hardest Ever) at the moment, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Mick (moves like) Jagger. We did a little squeal of excitement when we found out that even more big names will be joining him on his new album coming out later this year, called '#willpower'.
Cheryl Cole’s name may be missing from the list, but will.i.am has revealed Britney Spears, Shakira and Alicia Keys will feature on the new record. Speaking to Capital FM, he says, "I have a song with Alicia Keys – me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia. I have a song with The Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy.“
“We got a song with me, LMFAO and Eva Simons,” he continued, as well as a “song with me and Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz. I got a whole other bunch of collaborations." The Black Eyed Peas star also mentioned a collaboration with Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, which is apparently a piece of classical music. How high-brow!
Mr i.am also spoke about what we can expect from the album, saying, "'#willpower' is just a reminder to myself of staying contestant with the dream – keeping the dream alive. It was all a dream when I was 15 years old – 20 years later I managed to take the dream from an idea to physicality. So '#willpower' is uplifting songs, encouragement for those that need it." As long as it’s filled with the kind of tunes that make us want to dance around our bedrooms like we’re at a One Direction show, we’ll be happy.
