It’s time to drag your self off the sofa (in this weather it’s hard we know) and get sporty for a good cause! Sport Relief is back!
Loads of celebs have already done their bit to raise load of cash to help people in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries. David Walliams of course swam the Thames, while Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton travelled to the South Pole on a specially modified bike.
The Sport Relief organisers don’t expect everyone to go to such great lengths – you can have a go at the Sainburys’ Sport Relief Mile on March 25, or for the really lazy, how about buying JLS’s official Sport Relief single, Proud? It can be downloaded from 18 March – easy peasy. There’s also a load of Sport Relief merchandise available, just check out the website www.sportrelief.com
Couch potatoes likes us can also enjoy Let’s Dance For Sport Relief (when we tune in we might swap pyjamas for tracksuits so we at least feel more sporty), and there’ll be a big night of entertainment on Friday 23 March on BBC1 from 7pm. Claudia Winkleman, Fearne Cotton and Gary Lineker will be joined by a load of other celebs all aiming to raise lots of money.
