Heidi, Amelle and Jade look away now – because the original (and much better) line-up of the Sugababes have reportedly got back together.
Yes, sorry girls, but Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan have reunited to work on new material, claims music website Popjustice.com
Cryptically, Keisha tweeted last night: “Hanging out in the studio with @professorgreen and two lovely ladies with bags of talent ;-p lol” – and it looks as though those two ladies are her old band mates Siobhan and Mutya.
According to Popjustice.com there’s no official record deal in place just yet, and the girls will have to release their music under a different name (Mutya famously secured the rights to use ‘Sugababes’ brand name on stationary but sadly not songs) but they have been working with some exciting names and are set to reunite with production powerhouse Xenomania (responsible for some of their biggest hits including Round Round, Hole In The Head and Red Dress).
Let’s just hope they’re not booked to perform on Dancing On Ice, now that would be awkward.
