After producing and releasing the hit album ‘Watch The Throne’ with fellow rapper and bezzie Kanye West, Jay Z is apparently working on some new material that could end up being his 12th studio album and next collaboration. We want to know more!
The new dad and hip hop legend has teamed up with The Neptune’s producer Pharrell Williams, who he has collaborated with on a number of previous tracks such as, ‘Frontin’ and ‘Excuse Me Miss’ to name a few.
This month Pharrell announced that him and Jay are “working on something, it’s crazy”. It’s all on the down low and he is leaving it up to Jay to tell us more when he is ready. Pharrell said,
“Well, you know, he’s very discreet about details and stuff. I’m just a filmmaker, musically. I let everyone else play the roles.” This means we will have to hold out for a little longer for an album of musical genius. Ooh exciting!

Pharrell even contributed to last year’s ‘Watch The Throne’ album for single ‘Gotta Have It’, and also more recently created the beat for Jay’s baby Blue track ‘Glory’ featuring the little lady herself (might we add the youngest artist in history).
It seems the duo has some pretty exciting stuff ahead of them and we are expecting amazing things for a future album! No pressure guys.
