If a debut Number One album in the US charts wasn’t enough proof of One Direction’s utter HUGENESS Stateside, it’s just been revealed that the boys’ debut hit is going to be covered on Glee.
The Glee gang usually only cover the most popular hits by the biggest pop acts on the plant – so it’s testament to 1D’s meteoric rise to US fame that they’re getting the Glee show choir treatment.
Mr Schue AKA Matthew Morrison let slip about the news, telling The Sun, “I've just heard of them, they're really taking over the States. We are covering one of their songs on Glee - What Makes You Beautiful.”
Matt then joked that their song featuring on the show would help to boost their sales (the joke of course being that they’re healthy enough already),
“They've made it now though they're on Glee, this will probably help their record sales too,” he laughed.
America’s not wild about Harry?
In other 1D news rumbles are coming over from the US that Harry Styles is finding himself sliding down the popularity scale in the US, and that Niall is getting more attention.
“The Americans have been amazing to me since I’ve been here,” Niall tells heat (on sale now) exclusively. “I think there are more Irish people in America than there are in Ireland. It’s crazy,” he continued.
However the blonde cutie insists that Harry is still the band’s heartthrob,
“We all know that Harry is the king! He’s all over Twitter,” he says. “But what’s good for him is good for us.”
