We can imagine working for Jay-Z or being one of his ‘projects’ is quite a special experience. And if he’s signed you up to his record label, we’d bet he’s a rather quiet but strict type of manager. So we were a little surprised to hear that actually Jay-Z is completely relaxed as a boss when it comes to managing his new sensation and singer, Rita Ora.

Talking about signing to Jay’s record label, Roc Nation, two years ago and working with the world’s happiest Big Daddy rapper, Rita explained to Digital Spy, “He's [Jay-Z] a great boss. He knows his stuff and what it takes to be successful. I'm really lucky to have someone that loves music as well as knows the business.

“He's so chilled. He lets you grow. He doesn't influence your music at all, he just helps you. He lets you do your own thing."

Well, that’s probably because he was up giving baby Blue Ivy her late night feed – working hard is probably the last thing on his mind what with all the dirty nappies and early wake up calls he's having to deal with at the moment. But it’s good to hear that even having a newborn little baby around hasn’t taken away Jay-Z’s chilled out demeanour.

Talking about whether Beyonce had ever popped her head around the door in the studio, sexy Rita confessed she has never really talked to the new mum – although she had seen her wandering about.

Rita revealed, “Well... they're very much a family. I've seen her around. She's now a mum so she's always with the baby. It's great to see such a tight family, you know? It's refreshing. It's something that I would like to achieve one day."

Well, it looks like Rita will have to put those broody plans on the back-burner for a while, because her brand new single R.I.P looks as though it might hit number one this weekend. And the way things are going, we predict we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of Ms Ora in the coming months…
