There’s no denying that the tall, dark and handsome fella in Taylor Swift’s new video bares a striking resemblance to ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, but is it just a coincidence? Or is Taylor having a pop at Jake with her new single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together?
The 22-year-old dated Jake, 31, for four months before the couple split in January 2011. Taylor is said to have been heartbroken about it at the time.

In the video for her new single, Taylor can be seen arguing with a burly hunk as she sings: “We hadn’t seen each other in a month when you said you needed space. What?”
In another line she sings: “And you will hide away and find your peace of mind with some indie record that’s much cooler than mine.”

Taylor, who’s previously been linked to Joe Jonas and Katy Perry’s current squeeze John Mayer, said earlier this year that she wasn’t interested in dating because she’d been hurt so badly in the past.
She said: “I got nothing going on! I just don’t really feel like dating.
“I really have this great life right now and I’m not sad and I’m not crying this Christmas, so I am really stoked about that,” she said referring to her split with Jake which happened around the festive season.
She added: “I am not going to go into it! It’s a sad story!”
The video for We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was debuted at Times Square, New York, at the weekend.
At the time Taylor tweeted: “Fun facts about the We Are Never music video: it’s all in one take, shot with one camera, 5 costume changes, and woodland creatures.”
