Kimberley Walsh loves being a busy bee. What with the Girls Aloud reunion and dancing her heart out on Strictly for weeks, you’d think she’d be ready to put her feet up for a while, but oh no, not Kimba.
The star has been busy working on her first solo album, Centre Stage, and has now completed the video for the debut single, One Day I'll Fly Away.
Speaking about the feat, she revealed that despite her hectic schedule – this was the icing on the cake for the Promise This songstress.
“There’s a lot going on but I am loving every minute and can’t wait for people to hear these songs I’ve recorded.”
What a woman…
The 31-year-old shot the video at the Pinewood Studios in London and showed that she’s just as strong solo, as she is with the girls.
Kimberley’s made no secret of her tough upbringing and admitted that working hard as a teenager has given her the drive to succeed today.
“Growing up, we didn't really have any money, and I remember discovering that you could work and earn money yourself.”
“I'd do double shifts at my waitressing job - it was worth it for the money. Hard work has got me where I am. If I didn't have that ambition I wouldn't have achieved what I have.”
We think you’ve achieved plenty now, Kim.
