After what seems like a lifetime of waiting, Justin Timberlake has released the video for his comeback single – Suit and Tie.
In the black and white video, him and Jay Z play a pair of formally-dressed musicians who like to sing and rap. Justin plays Justin but with straight hair.
The story of the video is: basically a lot of muso-types playing instruments, then Justin singing like a little girl into one of those old school microphones – you know, the one that he used in the What Goes Around Comes Around video. You know, the video where he snogs Scarlett Johansson and plays a really fit spy and things explode and stuff happens and it’s all very smouldering.
There’s a bit of a light show and some fun bodypopping, but beyond that it’s not exactly shattering our world. A bit like the song, right?
When Jay Z comes in for his rap, a nice girl comes along in her underwear and humps a microphone stand. Then another woman takes her shirt off. Then she bathes on the stage and Justin comes along kicking water about like Gene Kelly in Singin’ In The Rain.
Beyond that, it’s not exactly classic, and looks a tad like a well-groomed wedding where everyone’s outstayed their welcome. Smack botty, Justin.
But what do YOU think of the video?
