heatworld supped white wine and ate nibbles with the cast of Heroes last night. Which was very exciting. Even more exciting – the event was held at the top of 30 St Mary Axe, otherwise known as The Gherkin, in the heart of London. This fantastic building looks pretty amazing from afar, and is now one of the dominant elements of the London skyline, but from the inside it's even more impressive with a stunning 360-degree view of London. And we saw the sun set! But wait a minute, we hear you saying, what about those lovely, sexy, Heroes actors? Yes indeed, they are all those things. And, actually, they're much like most US TV stars – not a huge amount to say for themselves. The funniest moment of the press conference came when handsome young Milo Ventimiglia, who plays flying nurse Peter Petrelli, was asked if he knew of any celeb fans of the show. He told the story of how he was at a swanky party in LA and who should he notice making eyes at him from across the room? Only Spider-Man himself – Tobey Maguire. But don't get too excited. Milo wasn't daring to suggest that Tobes was carnally interested in him. Oh no. Instead, Maguire simply bounded over and enthusiastically registered his fondness for the Heroes show. Milo's response? He told Tobey that, by playing Spider-Man and helping create a new superhero blockbuster, he had helped get the Heroes cast where they are today. Shucks. Those madcap Hollywood stars! As for actual proper Heroes news, we can reveal that BBC2 will definitely show series two next year, and that the cast has been signed up for six whole years. Yay!
