In case you're in mourning for the loss of Big Brother 8, we thought we'd mention some of the other fantastic TV shows on at the moment. Last night was the launch of Hell's Kitchen of course and it didn't disappoint, with a line-up of choice doofuses (stand up Lee "save the whales" Ryan) and head chef Marco Pierre White in supremely charismatic, borderline-psychotic form. That's a show to keep watching every night for the next fortnight.
Then there's the resurgence of Saturday night telly, in the unbeatable form of the best-ever series of The X Factor, with Dermot doing a great job, Dannii making for a fine new judge, and Simon Cowell coming up with better lines than ever.
And from this Saturday, X Factor will be followed by a new run of TV Gods Ant and Dec and their Saturday Night Takeaway. (BBC1 is a bit crap on Saturdays at the mo, but Strictly Come Dancing will be along in a few weeks.) As far as great US imports are concerned, it's not too late to enter into the world of Heroes on BBC2, Wednesdays, where you get a handy plot recap at the start of each show, and Brothers & Sisters on the same night on Channel 4 has lots of hot, angst-ridden actors. Plus, if you want a final slice of BB, don't forget this Friday's catch-up, What The Housemates Did Next, C4 at 8pm!
