An autopsy on Kanye West’s mum has failed to reveal why she died following cosmetic surgery over the weekend. Donda West was released from hospital in Los Angeles after the tummy tuck and breast reduction procedure, but died on Saturday when she was readmitted to hospital due to “respiratory problems”. However, a spokesman from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office says that “nothing apparent jumped out at us” during the autopsy, so it’s now been deferred for additional tests, which could take up to eight weeks to complete. It’s also emerged that Donda’s op took around eight hours to complete which is, apparently, double the normal amount of time for such a procedure. The doctor behind the op has now spoken out to say, “I want to first express my deepest condolences to the West family at a very difficult time. As a medical doctor practicing in this field, I hold sacred the bond of confidentiality that exists between the patient and doctor. Out of respect of the West family, and the absence of verifiable information, any comment without having first discussed that information with the family would be unprofessional.”
