It’s been confirmed that Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman have split up, just three months after their jungle romance first started. Cerys reportedly dumped Marc over the phone last week, after their busy schedules (doing what, we’re not sure) meant they hardly got to spend any time together. Now Marc’s mum has confirmed that he romance is over, saying that her son is “very upset” by the split, while friends of the couple have also spoken out about the break-up. “They had talked about buying a house together but that plan was abandoned early in the year,” says a pal of former Catatonia squawker Cerys. “Cerys has been in Wales and Marc has rarely visited. Once she got back to normal life she started to feel embarrassed by the way she had fallen for Marc on camera.” Well, we certainly cringed a lot on their behalf when they spouted all that guff about being soulmates – it’s just a shame it took them three months to catch up…
