A verdict of death by misadventure has been recorded in the inquest of kids TV presenter Mark Speight’s girlfriend. The coroner ruled that Natasha Collins had a “very significant” amount of cocaine in her body at the time of her death, along with sleeping tablets. Natasha, whose body was found in the bath at the couple’s home in north-west London, also had hot water burns covering about 60 per cent of her body. When Natasha died on 3 January, Smart host Mark was arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying Class A drugs. However, last month, the Metropolitan Police announced that he would not face any charges over her tragic death at the age of 31. Mark has since left his job with the BBC as Natasha’s death has left him unable to continue.
