It’s been revealed that Mark Speight’s body was actually found in an office block adjoining Paddington station, rather than the station itself – and police are extremely confused about how he got there. According to some reports, the tragic TV presenter may have wandered from platform one of Paddington to nearby office block Macmillan House – but, as access is by security code only, nobody is sure how. “I'm quite surprised he managed to get in, because all the entrances have a keycode or a security guard,” says one office worker. “However, there is an entrance at the back of platform one by the lift, and if some of the builders had left the door ajar, say with a fire extinguisher, then he would have been able to get in.” The building in question is rented by several transport companies and other businesses, but many of the offices are currently empty and undergoing refurbishment. Police are now examining CCTV footage and launching an investigation in an attempt to establish how and why he entered the building.
