The ever-honest Sharon Osbourne has spoken out about her decision to quit The X Factor – and, brilliantly, she says she wants Cheryl Cole to replace her, rather than Mel B, who’s also said to be in the frame. “I think they're asking Cheryl from Girls Aloud, and Mel B,” she says. “It will be interesting, it will take it to a different place. It will probably be even better, if that's possible. I want Cheryl to replace me, I love her." Sharon also denies that she quit because ITV refused to give her a £1million payrise. “It's not true,” she told Chris Moyles on Radio 1. “Actually, we were negotiating and they offered me an obscene amount of money. It was just I had to walk away when I did, it was just time. I love the show, it was the best four years of my life.” Cheryl would be so ace as a judge – but presumably, it would mean taking a hiatus from Girls Aloud. Aaargh, we’re so torn!
