It’s been reported that Trinny and Susannah face the axe from ITV, after it emerged that their current series is getting disappointing ratings. The ladies signed a lucrative deal with the channel a couple of years back, but it seems that now they might be out of fashion, with newer, warmer faces like Gok Wan stealing their thunder when it comes to making ladies feel good about their bodies. The ladies’ current Undress The Nation series has only been attracting around 2.5 million viewers – not much for a primetime ITV spot (and when they hosted What Not To Wear on the BBC, they regularly lured in 7 million). It’s thought that after the next series airs later this year, their contracts won’t be renewed. “Trinny and Susannah are an important part of the ITV family,” said an ITV spokesman. “As well as the series which is currently on air, they return in the autumn with a third series of Undress The Nation.” However, the network wouldn’t comment on whether the deal would then be renewed. Interesting. Do you think T&S have had their day or is there still life in their tried and tested boob-groping routine?
Do T&S face the chop?
