As if this weekend's start of The X Factor live studio shows isn't exciting enough, we strongly implore you to watch an amazing few hours of very similar talent show-style TV on Sunday, 8pm when Peter Kay's spoof special called (deep breath) Britain's Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice airs on Channel 4. We've just seen it in full, and all we can say is: you're in for a total treat. Not only is it a perfect, scarily accurate spoof of X Factor-style shows, complete with Cat Deeley playing herself brilliantly as the host and the likes of Pete Waterman and "Dr" Fox as judges, but it's also got Peter Kay himself in dazzling form as Bernadette, one of three finalists in the fictional competition. Wait till you see Kay, playing a woman, belting out "her" version of Free Nelson Mandela! It's also full of surprise cameos from real-life stars, which we won't spoil because then they wouldn't be surprises. Anyway, just make sure you're in front of a TV on Sunday at 8pm!
Must-watch weekend TV!
