The rejected American Idol contestant who was found dead outside Paula Abdul's home yesterday was just one of many hopefuls whose dreams were shattered after a bad audition. But watching this tape now, knowing what happened, makes it all the more tragic. In what is actually quite uncomfortable viewing, Paula Goodspeed performs a rendition of Tina's Turner's Proud Mary as the judges giggle. Paula tells her she's "speechless", Randy tells her she's "terrible", while Simon makes some horribly cringe-worthy comments about her braces. It's clear from the video that this lady was never going to be a successful singer, but the clear desperation is gut-wrenching to watch.
