News has just reached us that Jack Tweed’s curfew conditions have been changed so that he will be able to spend his wedding night with Jade. Earlier today, we revealed that Jade was distraught that Jack would be forced to return to his mother’s house in Essex at 7pm on Sunday night, but now Justice Secretary Jack Straw has stepped in and changed the rules – even though the request to waive the curfew was originally rejected. "Jack Straw has enormous sympathy for Jade and her family. She is showing extraordinary courage and our thoughts are with her," a Ministry of Justice spokesman said. "The NOMS chief operating officer, in dicussion with the governor of the prison, has determined that this is an exceptional case and Mr Tweed will be allowed to remain at the reception and that address until 3pm the day after the wedding." Jack still wears an electronic tag after being jailed last year for assaulting a teenager with a golf club, but thanks to Jack Straw’s dramatic decision, Jack will now be allowed to stay with Jade until 3pm on Monday.
Some good news at last
