It's the news we've all been hoping we'd never hear, but today it's been confirmed that Jade Goody's battle with cancer has now become just a waiting game, after doctors broke the news that they have been unable to stop the spread of the disease. Jade has been told that she now has only months - perhaps even weeks - to live, and doctors are now concentrating on easing her pain and making her as comfortable as possible. Jade, who is currently still in hospital, is thought to be heading home to Essex as soon as she can, to spend her last few precious months with her beloved sons and her family. Her publicist Max Clifford has also confirmed that she and boyfriend Jack Tweed plan to marry "within a few weeks". The BB star was told the tragic news earlier this week, after she questioned why her next session of chemotherapy had been cancelled. Doctors fear the cancer may have already spread to her bones and brain, and there is nothing they can do to halt the disease from spreading. A friend of the star said last night, "Jade is still fighting, but she knows in her heart there's no chance of getting out of this situation. All doctors can do is make her more comfortable."
