This morning we told you that Jade Goody had paid tribute to actress Wendy Richard, who died from cancer yesterday. And now Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford has revealed that Wendy sent Jade a touching message just days before her death, to congratulate her on her marriage to Jack Tweed. Max says former EastEnders star Wendy found the strength to call Jade after receiving an invitation to her wedding. “She said she would have loved to have been there but was too sick,” he says. “She told Jade she was thinking of her.” Like Jade, Wendy herself got married recently – to partner John Burns, who she’d been with for 13 years – when she discovered that her illness was terminal. The two ladies’ paths first crossed a few months ago when they were both being treated at a London hospital.
