However people felt or now feel about Jade Goody, there can be no doubt that the star's battle with cancer has affected all of us in one way or another. We already knew that people in the US were following Jade's story very closely – even Michael Jackson's been on the phone! – but now it seems the fascination may be so high that movie execs are becoming interested. Now Jade's publicist Max Clifford has explained how none other than Simon Cowell told him how big the story is over in LA, saying, "He says that since he's been back over there [LA], practically everyone is asking him how Jade is doing. All the celebrities he meets have been following her story on TV and in newspapers and magazines. When a story becomes this big, the more chance there is about something like that [a film] happening." As well as Simon's testimony, a Hollywood insider has revealed that discussions are indeed taking place, and that "Hollywood loves a heartwarming inspirational story, especially about someone who has turned their life around." All this talk must be so overwhelming for Jade herself, don't you think? Who would play her in a movie, we wonder...?
