Jade Goody must be devastated that her husband Jack Tweed has been found guilty of assault again – but now she can perhaps take some comfort from the fact that sentencing has been adjourned until the end of the month. Jack’s barrister Tania Panagiotopoulou tried to persuade the judge that sentencing should be adjourned for six months and emphasised that Jack’s lifestyle has changed dramatically since the offence. “His partying lifestyle is well and truly over and has been for some months now,” she said. “He tries within the confines of his tag to care for her. He is unable to work. Miss Goody only has weeks to live. I would invite you to defer sentence for six months.” However, the sentencing has been set for 26 March – and he could face up to six months in jail but, until then, he’ll be able to spend time with Jade.
