Whether you love her or loathe her, you have to admit that Peaches Geldof gives good interview – she’s so open. In this week’s Grazia magazine, she reveals that she hasn’t touched booze for nearly six months (which is exactly what we’d do if we accidentally got married in Vegas…). “It’s weird,” she says. “Especially with boys. The fluency that’s normally there has gone. But it’s the test, isn’t it? Can you get along with someone if you’re sober? It sorts the wheat from the chaff with friendships.” Speaking of friendships, Peaches says she and her now ex-husband Max Drummey are still close. “Max and I are really good friends,” she reveals. “I speak to him all the time. I spoke to him on my birthday. We had a really nice chat. It’s such an old-fashioned point of view that it has to be some acrimonious thing when you split with someone. We were just too young. That’s all it was. We were both too young and we both realised that. I still love the idea that we did it. I love the idea that I can tell my kids one day about it and I know he does too. It just got really crazy. It was something that exploded. And then it ended. And now we’re just back to being friends, which is so much better.” If you’ve been bitten by the Twitter bug, you’ll know that one man who Peaches would be like to be more than friends is Phillip Schofield – she’s obsessed! “I just think he’s really sexy,” she says. “I like the idea of somebody a bit older and wiser, someone that appeals to a mass audience but has a sinister, dark side. I bet he’s a real pervert. I can just see it in his little eyes. He loves it. It’s always the quiet ones, the nice ones.” Ooh, we kind of know what she means…
