It's been quite a while since we thought about last year's charming *coughnotcough* BB housemate Alexandra, but this latest news about the show has just reminded us. Gosh, wasn't she just a sweetheart? Ahem. Anyway, we've just learned that Ofcom have thrown out almost 5,000 complaints made about the "bullying" on last year's Big Brother – primarily that done by Alexandra while she was still in the house. Viewers had complained not only about Alex's bullying of other housemates, but also about the fact she was allowed to have her say in an interview with Davina, despite being removed from the house. However, Ofcom has ruled that any offence BB may have caused was justified by its context, and that Channel 4 had acted promptly and appropriately in dealing with Alexandra the right way. In other Ofcom news, Strictly Come Dancing has also been excused after last year's voting "fiasco", which saw all three semi-finalists going through to the final after the judge's scores made it impossible for the public to save their favourite act. Ofcom have ruled that the incident "resulted from an oversight, rather than any shortcomings in the technical arrangements for voting or in the handling of votes received." So, there you go. Does all this BB talk make you feel just a teensy bit excited about the prospect of it starting all again in a few months?
