Has Phil lost his fans?
Oh dear. He was the firm favourite with Apprentice fans up until last night, but it seems that Philip’s disastrous performance in the latest advertising task has left us all feeling a little bit let down today. Previously, we loved the Geordie’s firm (ooh, yes)-but-fair attitude, but on last night’s show he suddenly morphed into David Brent, forcing his spectacularly bad idea of “Pants Man” on his team, sulking when people dared to criticise it (“If you give me something to do, I’ll do it and if it doesn’t work out, you’ll be accountable”) and thinking he was actually Bono when he sang off-key for the naff jingle. We just hope he was having an off-day, because who in their right mind would ever think a character called Pants Man (a superhero who wears his pants on the outside, but actually wants you to wear them correctly on the inside… Yes, we’re still confused) would be a good idea to advertise kids’ breakfast cereal? And what about the “Dance in your paaaaannnnttts” song itself? It was total garbage, as Sir Alan would say. But what do you think about Philip on last night’s show now you’ve had time to reflect? Have you completely gone off him, or can you find it in your heart to forgive him? Cos, let’s face it, he’s still not as horrific as Ben…
