Jack Tweed has just been sentenced to 12 weeks in jail for assaulting a taxi driver. Jack had denied the charge, but was found guilty. It is the second time he will serve time in jail on an assault charge.
The sentence was passed at Harlow Magistrates' Court, and Jack's lawyer was heard telling the court that his client had "matured" greatly since the offence, which took place in May last year.
Jack has already told pals that he has prepared a box of photos and letters from Jade to take into jail with him, but the thought of not seeing Jade's sons Bobby and Freddie has upset him greatly. The last sentence Jack served for assault was five months, and he could have been sent down for even longer this time, so there is at least some respite.
