We feel a bit sorry for Mathew Horne – as you’ll recall, he collapsed on stage last week, apparently due to exhaustion, which can’t have been much fun and must have been made even worse when loads of fans complained about him taking time off to recover. But there’s good news for Mat and his fans now – he’ll be back on stage tonight for the last week of Entertaining Mr Sloane. “I am delighted to say I am feeling much better and will return to the show tonight for the final week,” he says in a statement released today. “I feel terrible for letting audience members down last week when I was ill, and I am so grateful for the wonderful letters of well wishes from everyone. We have all had an amazing time working on Sloane since January, and I am just glad to be back in full health for the final week of this tremendous production.” We’re glad Mat’s feeling better. As much as we can understand ticket-holders being a wee bit narked about not getting to see him tread the boards over the weekend, the poor chap can’t help it if he’s been ill...
