The fury over the BBC's decision to replace Strictly judge Arlene Phillips with the younger but less expert Alesha Dixon is showing no signs of going away. The broadcaster has now received a whopping 1,369 complaints from viewers, and show insiders are said to be panicking that they've got another Sachsgate on their hands. However, if Arlene was brought back, the judging panel would then consist of six people, and this could cause problems with timings. Head judge Len Goodman has talked openly about what he thinks, saying, "I hope the BBC are not trying to introduce a younger audience. I hope [the decision] does not affect the fan base." The show's producers were last night still defending their decision to replace Arlene, saying it has "nothing to do with age or gender". Hmmm. We think nearly 1,500 people disagree with them. Do YOU think Arlene should be brought back?
