Peter Andre has just done what can only be described as a very awkward and uncomfortable interview with Pip and Fern on This Morning, where he talked about his split from Katie Price and why he's not going to comment on the miscarriage. A clearly nervous Pete fiddled with his hair and clothes throughout the chat, and continually apologised when he did not want to answer Fern's probing questions. "What I've done," he told Pip and Fern, "I've purposely not spoken about it. When you do speak, you have to think long term." He then went on to explain that his reasons for keeping quiet were purely to protect his children, and that he didn't want them to read anything bad when they grow up. However, Pete did admit that "there's a lot I could say" about the split and about his feelings for Katie. When Pip asked if the miscarriage was the reason behind the split, a clearly upset Pete replied that he "never" wanted it to become public, saying, "I've said it before – there's more than one reason [for the split]. It's not as simple and easy as that." Pushed with more questions, an increasingly uncomfortable Pete said he didn't want to say anything bad about the mother of his children and admitted that "showing your life so publicly can be a mistake". Fern then asked him if he was going to have his "Katie" tattoo removed from his wedding finger, and, after gazing sadly down at it for a few seconds, Pete said, "It's nowhere near a priority to remove it. I'd rather focus on other things." Asked finally if he thought he would ever talk about the split in public, Pete sighed and replied, "There's so much to this... There's so much I wanna say, but I hope I never have to. I hope I never do."
