Actress Mischa Barton has given her first interview since being sectioned following a "medical issue", and admits she'd "hit rock bottom". Talking to Time Out New York, Mischa explains, "I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once. I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while." Asked whether or not there was any truth in the reports she'd had a "freak-out" and called the police, Mischa replied that she didn't think she was capable of a "full-on" episode, but that "it was pretty bad". She went on to admit, "It didn't last that long... Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn't handle everything, and now I feel really in control." The actress also says the whole situation was made worse by the agony she was suffering following a wisdom tooth operation. "It was a nightmare," she remembers. "I've never had surgery before, and it all went wrong and I had to have a second surgery and it almost delayed shooting." Mischa is now looking forward to the launch of her new show The Beautiful Life, and says she feels almost fully recovered. We’re very happy for her.
