Now, Simon Cowell has made a living out of being Mr Nasty. So in between saying mean things to talent show contestants, wearing white T-shirts and taking people to get their teeth whitened, you would expect him to do something befitting of a TV villain, like mugging old ladies or making small children cry. But no, the man has a soft side – he secretly gives £100,000 a year to a dog’s home for neglected and abandoned animals in California. And this isn’t any old dog’s home. Oh no. It’s one run by Linda Blair, who played the rotating head/vomiting child from The Exorcist. Aww, how sweet! (Simon, not the demonic child.)
