Alesha Dixon has found herself at the centre of a critical storm following her debut as the brand new Strictly Come Dancing judge this weekend. It was never going to be the easiest of first days, but poor Alesha has been utterly slammed, with hundreds of disgruntled viewers even demanding that she resign immediately. However, Alesha is refusing to be pushed out, saying last night, "I am not a quitter. It's not in my nature to consider quitting. You can't please all the people all the time." Fans of the show have blasted Alesha's comments, accusing her of knowing nothing about dancing – but, as axed judge Arlene Phillips argues, Alesha was not hired for her technical expertise. "They hired Alesha because they wanted a different opinion," she said kindly. "It is very hard for her – she must be incredibly nervous."
