The X Factor vs Strictly
It's a tough one to call. Celebrities in Lycra and sequins, or members of the public being put down by a sarcastic Simon Cowell? Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor will soon be going head-to-head in the Saturday night ratings – but which one will YOU be choosing as your weekend entertainment? According to Ladbrokes, Strictly is the show most viewers will be glued to, with spokesman Nick Weinberg explaining, "It promises to be a titanic tussle. Strictly should benefit from its Friday night appearance, which will create momentum leading into Saturday." Strictly is sitting on odds of 1/4, while The X Factor is on 5/2. The dancing show has the added advantage of starting earlier in the schedules, so if it manages to pull in viewers, they could tempted them from switching over once The X Factor begins.
