Laughing is officially the thing we like doing most in the world (yes, even more than watching Jedward, although they do make us laugh), so we're very happy that some of our favourite comedy clever clogs are up for British Comedy Awards. Alan Carr and Michael McIntyre have both got three nods each, and will battle each other to win both Best Comedy Entertainment Personality and Best Entertainment Programme. Other big names up for a possible gong include Inbetweeners' star Simon Bird for Best Television Comedy Actor, all three kids from Outnumbered for Best Newcomer and Ruth Jones for Best Television Comedy Actress. The awards are in their 20th year, and will be hosted by Jonathan Ross next month. Luckily, we'll be able to watch the whole evening unfold on ITV1 and ITV2 on Saturday 12 December.
