So, yesterday heatworld headed down to Hammersmith Apollo in London to catch Diversity on their tour. The show itself was utterly fantastic – more so than we expected it to be, so if you have a chance to check them out, make sure you do. Also, as promised on Twitter yesterday, we asked the very tall Mister Ashley Banjo your questions. By the way, we did try to get Ashley to pose for a topless picture for us, but he wasn’t having any of it. Instead, he did give us a sneak peak under his T-shirt (this sounds dodgy, but it was very hot in the dressing room and he had to change his T-shirt and, well, we just happened to be sitting on the sofa at the time). We can assure you that Ash has a lovely set of abs – which is lucky really because it would be a lot more painful doing those 5000+ dance moves (that one was for you, fact fans) without them. Now, sit back and see if Ash answered YOU.
@jenwilliams1984 asks: Can you describe your life in five words?
Pretty much everything I want. That’s five. I’m not sure what it is that’s missing. Nothing is ever perfect – I always strive to make things better.
@Lovingkind asks: Who inspires you?
People around me more than anything – friends, family. I think about what the people around me would like to watch and they’re like a cross-section of the country, they are a big part of our success.
@Helengold asks: Will you carry on working in film?
We’d love to do more film work; we’ve got tons of ideas that would be great for film. As far as dancing, judging, acting, choreographing comes our way, then we will definitely try it.
@HeidiJackson_ asks: What do you think you would be doing if you hadn't won BGT?
Right now? At 6.30pm on a Monday, I’d be travelling back form uni and about to teach.
@LittleMarsy asks: How do you possibly manage your degree on top of choreographing and dancing?
Dedication, working hard. I don’t really have time off – not recently anyway. But my degree is on hold at the moment, they are holding my place open for me, which is brilliant of my uni – I’m doing Natural Sciences.
@Angelmurrish asks: How old were you when you first realised how good a dancer you were?
Am I a good dancer? I’ve been dancing since I was about 5 or 6. I’ve always known this is what I’ve wanted to do.
@ageorge81 asks: Do you keep in touch with Su-Bo?
No not really, but we speak to Flawless often. Aiden is on tour with us. I spoke to Stavros the other day…and Sean Smith, too.
@kyra_lillie asks: Would you ever let a female join Diversity?
Well, the group came together naturally, and all of a sudden there was a group of 11 of us so there are no rules. If a girl was to join, they’d need to get to know us first, they’d have to bump into us and it would be fate if it happened.
@Meabhhannah asks: What does the queen smell of?
[Laughs] Pretty flowers.
To @EmmaAshleyBanjo, who Tweeted in a lot saying how much she loves the boys…
“Hello EmmaAshleyBanjo, you really have a beautiful name.”
And the question you ALL asked… are you single?
“I am not single – I’ve been with my girlfriend for five years. Sorry. To the fans, I still love you all!”
