Oooh I’ve had some right fun times this week. On Friday I was invited to the filming of Alan Carr’s Chatty Man. I say invited, I was actually ordered to work as his PA for the day (“I’ve never had a PA before” said Alan, “I haven’t even had a cleaner. I’ve always been worried they’ll snoop too much. Not that I have any sordid secrets under my bed of course…”) Among my duties was making sure the guests were happy. And as one of them was the very easy on the eye Jared Leto I wasn’t complaining. Alan and I knocked on his door with a bowl of fruit and he was most amused. He was also very endearing and told Alan he was the funniest person he’d met in a long time. There was me thinking he’d be a moody young EMO. Jared got so into the “UK sense of humour” that some of his interview had to be edited out because he’d spent too long discussing how much he liked the word c***. The two little girls sat next to me in the green room were giggling their heads off (before their mum sensibly covered their ears). Talking of little girls, Kylie was there too. She wouldn’t stop cuddling Alan after the cameras rolled. She asked for him to present her with a GQ award a few years back and they’ve been pals ever since. On Sunday I was invited to the premiere of Toy Story 3. The great thing about being at a premiere is that if there’s a sad bit in the film (which there is) you can have a nose around to see if any of the celebs are blubbing like you. Sadly I was only sat next to Rhys Ifans and I couldn’t make out any tears because he had 3D glasses on. He did shout something odd in an American accent at one point though. Oh and Jenny Frost looked mightily fed up while sat on some hay at the after party – either that or she’d eaten too many hotdogs and had indigestion. The most amusing thing about the day was that I actually got papped on the Lego carpet (toys don’t do red). My boyfriend found it hilarious and took a shot of me posing like a twerp (he’s got the new ‘Olympus Tough’ and reckons it’s better than any pap crap). I’ve now turned into a child again though and want to dig all my old toys out of the loft. Luckily there’s a Toy Story 3 game out now (on Nintendo DS and PSP if you’re interested) so I’ve found a way to play cowboys and spacemen without looking quite so juvenile.
